Rumors are rife that Mariah Carey is preparing to welcome a new member in her family. According to reports, either she is pregnant or preparing to adopt a child, and interestingly, the singer did not seem to counter them.

Carey flaunted her famous curves in a short, tight black dress as she posed for pictures on the red carpet. She stood tall in skyscraper heels that made it difficult for her to walk but the singer was escorted by private security through the night, which also assisted her in balancing on those incredibly high heels.
They were eight inches high, and she even hurt herself with one of those pointed heels before getting help.
Mariah Carey took another pregnant pause this weekend when she attended several star-studded events with husband Nick Cannon in tow.
While speaking to inquisitive reporters at the Independent Spirit Awards on Friday night, the singer revealed that "something special" is about to happen in her life.
Carey, who attended the award show to support her film 'Precious," has been dodging baby rumors for months now.

Mariah Carey, was at the Independent Spirit Awards last night held in the Los Angeles area. This award ceremony honored movies with a smaller budget, a strong vision and passion which included the film Mariah was part of, Precious.
Last night her film took home five awards from the ceremony including Best First Screen Play and Best Film. The entertainer was in a delightful mood last night not only for the film but also for the opportunity to present.

I have a lot of new acting projects coming up. I am talking to ['Precious' director Lee Daniels] about at least three movies,” she said, “But there's also something else very special on the way. I can't say any more.”

Apart from baby rumors, Mariah Carey also grabbed attention at the 25th Film Independent Spirit Awards in Los Angeles, CA. The singer looked absolutely elated to be among her cast mates from the movie ‘Precious,’ which celebrated its night of victory by sweeping away five prizes on Friday night.
